Our Fibre Laser Cutting Technology

The machinery behind a laser cutting service matters when it changes the quality, consistency or cost of the parts being produced.

Yorkshire Profiles uses AMADA fibre laser technology, including VENTIS and ENSIS systems, together with automated material handling to support both short-run and production work.

Rather than treating the machines as a showroom feature, we use their technology to solve practical manufacturing problems: cutting quickly, maintaining consistent edge quality, processing a wide range of metals and keeping production moving with minimal manual intervention.

AMADA VENTIS and Locus Beam Control

Our VENTIS fibre laser uses AMADA’s Locus Beam Control technology. Instead of relying solely on increasing laser power, LBC controls the movement and shape of the beam during cutting to suit the material and thickness being processed.

For our customers, the benefit is a combination of productivity and cut quality, particularly on materials where conventional fibre lasers can struggle to produce the finish required.

The VENTIS also includes automated nozzle handling and process monitoring to reduce setup interruptions and support stable production.

AMADA ENSIS

The ENSIS uses fibre laser technology with beam control designed to maintain efficient processing across a range of sheet thicknesses.

It is particularly useful where a production schedule contains a mixture of materials and component types rather than one repetitive job.

Its fibre laser source also allows us to process reflective metals including copper and brass alongside mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

Automated Material Handling

Laser speed is only useful if material can reach the machine efficiently.

Our automated handling system stores and loads sheet, removes processed material and allows production to continue for extended periods without an operator manually changing every sheet.

This improves utilisation, makes repeat production more predictable and gives us the capacity to run work outside normal staffed hours.

What This Means for Your Parts

The combination of fibre laser cutting, CNC nesting, beam control, process monitoring and automation allows us to handle anything from one-off profiles to repeat production batches while maintaining a consistent manufacturing process.
